Walking for Water 2014 by the Coed Y Garn Primary School from Wales

These children have walked for a project from Foundation Kansarmen Sri Lanka,
The Rotary Club of Brynmawr took the initiative!

Article from the facebook of Rotary club of Brynmawr:
Coed Y Garn School Year 6 pupils took part in “walking for water” on Thursday 20th March. They experienced wet weather but nowhere as bad as last year. The pupils walked their 6 kilometres, carrying 6 litres of water in their standard walking for water bags. This year’s project was based in a village in Sri Lanka and we are looking forward to see how much they have raised this year.
It is not too late to add your donation to their sponsorship. Thank you all Rotarians from Brynmawr and Abertillery and Blaina Clubs who helped with the warm up and the marshalling of the pupils and of course the dedication of the school staff for their continued enthusiasm in promoting ventures like this one.
Let’s see if we can get other schools in Wales to become involved next year.
