Update Corona Sri Lanka

Het zat er aan te komen, 2 weken terug zijn onze veldwerkzaamheden wederom gestaakt. De bevolking bereidt zich voor op de aanstaande thuisblijfbeschikking die van kracht wordt van 22.00 uur vandaag tot 30 augustus. De regering heeft een totale lockdown van tien dagen opgelegd om de heersende Corona uitbraak te stoppen. Momenteel dagelijks 160 geregistreerde Corona sterfgevallen.

The school is situated in isolated area in village and far from the city area in Haldummulla village, Uva Province. This school build in very recently and they did not have water connection, this school is struggling for water many months.
Majority of the parents are Tamil

The school is situated in high mountain area in Gonawala pathana village and it is isolated rural area and far from the Nawalapitiya city area in Central Province. They get water from a small stream but there is no enough water

A rural and poor school with 60 children, grade 1 – 5 from low income families and 7 teachers use the new facilities.
The school is situated in isolated area called Rathugala village and far from the Bibila city in Uva Province. In dry season the school well get dry and no water for drinking and even for cleaning purposes. This school children and teachers facing lot of difficulties without water, at least 6 months, this is a terrible
situation.
