A rural and poor school with 15 children grade 1 – 5 from low income families and 6 teachers use the new facilities.
The school is situated in rural area in Walapane and far from the city in Central Province. They have existing tube well but they do not have water and no proper water system to school, without proper water system no water for drinking and even for cleaning purposes. School children were struggling for water for many years.
Majority of the parents working in chena cultivation and rice fields for their family income they have work on rainy season and dry season they have less works, and some others work as daily labors, these villages are very poor.
Realized, improved water and sanitation facilities:
Construct an open well 6’ deep and 4’ wide making a concrete floor around the well and Supplying water pump, construct pump house, electrical cable (300m long) and panel board, supply total pipeline system 260m long for the school premises and existing toilet buildings, reconstruct 2 existing 500L water tanks, reconstruct existing one building with 3 urinals, repair the existing silver hand washing sink, construct 1 unit of sink (one unit has 4 taps), construct 3 tap post, paint all our constructions, Etc…
Parents help: transport materials from the gate to construction sites, digging and fixing for the pipe line.
