A very rural and poor school with 120 children grade 1 – 11 from poor families, and 12 teachers use the new facilities.
School is situated in very rural area and far from the Pussellawa city area in Central Province. This school is build up in 5 land levels and from past they did not have water system in school and in dry season there is no water, all wells get dry and no water for drinking and even for cleaning purposes. This school is struggling for water during the year.
Majority of the parents working in a tea states for their family income and some others do daily labour these villages are very poor.
Realized, improved water and sanitation facilities:
Water place investigation before we start, construct a new well 22 feet deep and 6 feet wide, supply a specially made water pump (water has to be pumped about 60 meters high mountain from low level ground), construct a new iron water tower, total pipeline system for the school premises, construct two washing units (1 unit has 4 taps), 4 tap points, construct 2 new toilets and reconstruct a urinal building with 3 urinal pots, connect the new pipeline to the old toilets, paint all our construction.
Parents and children help: transport materials from the gate to construction sites, digging and fixing for the pipe line and digging the toilet pits.
