A rural school with 98 Children, grade 1 – 5 from low income families and 6 teachers use the new facilities.
The school is situated in isolated area in village and far from the city area in Haldummulla village, Uva Province. This school build in very recently and they did not have water connection, this school is struggling for water many months.
Majority of the parents are Tamil and Muslim, they are working as daily labors for their family income and these villages are very poor.
Realized, improved water and sanitation facilities:
Supply new electricity connection, connect the school pipeline with the road pipeline, construct iron water tower with ladder and handrail (5 meters high), supply 1000L plastic water tank, total pipeline system for the school premises, construct new 1 washing unit (1 unit has 4 taps), construct 2 tap posts, paint all our constructions, etc…
Parents and children help for constructions and digging and fixing for the pipe line.
